Gatlin's - The Boogeyman
As kids, we all had the same fear — and we all faced the same doubts. Our parents didn’t believe us. No grown-up did. But we were right. We were right all along, and now they know, and now… it’s too late. The Boogeyman is real. Children around the world have gone missing one by one, and a local family has hired a renowned paranormal investigator to venture into the realm of the beast and stop it once and for all. There’s only one problem: he’s gone missing too. Now a new team must finish the job in a real-life face-to-face(less) battle with The Boogeyman itself.
Knabe Labs designed and installed the complete escape room technology system for Gatlin’s Escape Games — The Boogeyman in Pigeon Forge, TN. At the heart of the show control system is a Productivity PLC orchestrating precisely timed sequences across every element of the experience. A QSys Core manages all audio playback and routing, delivering layered soundscapes exactly where they need to hit. BrightSign media players drive the video content throughout the space, while DMX-controlled lighting sets the tone room by room — from creeping tension to full-scale scares.
Tying it all together is a custom HMI interface that gives game masters real-time visibility into every puzzle state, manual override capability for any element, and streamlined reset confirmation between sessions. The result is a Best of Morty (2025) winner and TERPECA-nominated Pigeon Forge escape room — one of the most intense show control builds in our portfolio.
